News from the A.S.P surfing world Tour!
South African Surfer “Jordy smith claims” his first world tour event victory in Rio, Brazil Last week !
He is now ranked number 2 in the world; the level of surfing at the moment on the world tour is insane with very difficult manoeuvres like huge rotating airs combined with a good barrel ride taking down the heats, AS ALWAYS ELEVEN TIME WORLD CHAMP “Kelly Slater IS STILL IN THE MIX BEING RELEGATED TO 4TH POSITION, while the current world champ Joel Parkinson now sits in 8 position! This Year’s title race is proving as always to be an exciting affair with its fair share of upsets! new school guys like Nat young ,Gabriel Medina , Adriano de Souza, Julian Wilson and( injured) John John Florence make every event spectacular , as always Kelly Slater at 40 years old (now known as the Jedi ) is still kicking everybody’s ass with his flawless surfing and a lifetimes experience in surfing heats !
The next stop on the tour is Tavarua, Fiji for the Volcom pro , on June 2nd it should be amazing
